Connie Acosta – Auditor

I gained my bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from Philippine School of Business Administration in October 2014 and Diploma in Accounting from Concordia Institute of Business, in December 2019. I took the board licensure examination a year later after completing my bachelor’s degree in Philippines and became a CPA in October 2015.

My career began as an external auditor at KMPG Philippines where I worked in the financial services unit of the firm handling Non-For-Profit and Non-Governmental Organizations.

I moved to the banking industry where I became a pioneering accounting associate for a Taiwanese bank in Philippines. I set up the bank’s accounting system and assisted with the drafting of policies and manuals.

In early 2019, I decided to move to New Zealand for better opportunities. I moved from Christchurch to Auckland to join JSA Audit in September 2021, as I wanted to go back to the world of auditing again.

I enjoy working at JSA Audit, every day there’s something new to learn.

During lockdown, I picked up a new hobby, painting though my skills aren’t that great yet but I really enjoy it. I also enjoy travelling, exploring new restaurants and watching thriller and murder mysteries.

I Joined the JSA team in mid-May of 2022 as a part-time and went full-time starting the 4 th of July 2022. I now enjoy the so-called “work-life balance” approach. Day by day, I learn new things from great people to advance at work.
